Acacia wood, collected keys, laser cutting, CNC, tung oil, 42 × 42 × 12 cm
<Key Janggi> began from a misaligned conversation with an elderly key shop owner. He spoke about the past, while I asked about the present, but the conversation never moved in a single direction. I came to feel that relationships are formed less through words than through shared actions, so I made janggi pieces using keys and played the game with him. In this work, keys move beyond their function of opening and closing doors, becoming a medium that places different times and memories together on a single board.
